Limited Liability Company Mono was founded in 1991 as a result of transformation of private cooperative Mono, established in 1988 during “Perestroika”. Today Mono is one of the first and oldest private business establishments in Latvia.

   Due to the prudent management decisions and correctly chosen strategy Mono during several years has become the leading multi-industry holding of the country. In short time, business activities of  Holding Mono spread outside Latvia. Today, the structure of the holding has more than 50 subsidiaries and affiliated companies in the Baltic States, Russia and CIS countries.

   Over the years Holding Mono has implemented many successful projects in various business areas. Many of these projects have been highly evaluated and successfully divested to foreign investors. Particularly important deals were: divestment of the group of companies Mono-M, SDV, LDV and A.V. & D. - the dominant player in the supply and distribution of premium imported alcohol beverages on the Latvian market to the well-known holding SPV Distributor from SPI Group (Russia); as well as divestment of the controlling stake of one of the first commercial banks in the country Lateko Bank, which at the time of the sale has held a leading position among Latvian banks.
